Brett Favre will one day have a statue at Lambeau Field. He is the ultimate Packer, Mr. Cheese-head, the quintessential Green Bay guy. Why is he trying to ruin it all?
Favre has already proven that he is not just one of the guys like he pretends to be. Based on last season Brett still has some game left, but he is now starting to hurt the organization that he claims to be all about. If the rumors are true and #4 wants to return to the field, the Pack are in a lose-lose situation. If they bring him back, they stunt the growth of quarterback Aaron Rodgers and Brian Brohm, their 2nd round draft pick gets pushed to 3rd in the depth chart. If they release Brett, the Packers faithful will riot through the streets when he ends up wearing another uniform.Â
If Favre was truly a team player he wouldn’t have dragged out his retirement decision for the past 3 seasons and he would not put the Packers in a compromising position. He’s pulling what Roger Clemens did with the New York Yankees and Houston Astros. I lost respect for Clemens when he pulled his garbage and now I have lost respect for the All-Pro Quarterback, Brett Favre.Â
