Hello Friends, since there was no Diamondbacks on tonight so I was left to the movie channels. That is when I came across this treasure. Hands down The Sandlot has to be one of the best Baseball movies ever.

The Sandlot:

“First you take the graham, then you put the chocolate on the graham, then you roast the mallow, then you put the mallow on the chocolate, add another graham, then STUFF”

I mean come on this movie single handedly the greatest movie from my childhood. It wasn’t just about the baseball, it was about the life stories that it taught. It was like a blueprint for all of those who are my age to treat you child hood. Naturally everyone remembers Wendy Peffercorn, and the pool scene where we were all proud and pissed at squints for getting some.

Of course there was the obligatory bullies, and all of us cheered when porter proclaimed they played ball like girls. And because of that one scene I then knew how to trash talk. Man did I relate to Porter. Me being of the stout stature that I was at that tender age, I had to relate to the chubby kid.

How many times, when we were all kid did you do something that you didn’t realize it was going to piss off your parents. I mean taking that Babe Ruth baseball reminds all kids of something stupid that they did. I know it did for me.

It is just hard for me to find a pitfall in this movie.

Because of this movie I started my love for Baseball, and of course s’mores.

Hands down next to Bull Durham, this will have to me my favorite baseball movie. It will probably stay this way, FOR-EV-VER!
